What is the Invisalign Process?

If you’re an existing patient, we start with a consultation. For new patients, you begin your journey with a comprehensive exam for us to establish you as a patient and better understand your needs. Once we’ve discussed your goals and confirmed that you’re a candidate for Invisalign (most people are!) then we can begin your treatment process.

First, we’ll capture references for your mouth using either impressions or the latest in 3D scanning technology. With the new scanner, we can prepare a model of your teeth without needing you to bite down into an impression mold. It’s easy!

Next, using these references, a dental lab will develop a unique treatment plan with specialized trays. When the plan is complete, they begin manufacturing your trays.

When the trays are complete and arrive at our office, you’ll be able to stop in for a fitting to make sure your new trays are comfortable. It’s a great time to ask questions and get familiar with your new Invisalign aligners!

Now your treatment is in your hands! Simply follow the treatment plan, wearing your Invisalign aligners and moving to the next set according to your plan. With a few follow-up visits here and there, you’ll achieve your new smile before you know!
